چکیده

We present a systematic approach to fabricate a variety of magnetic nanoparticles with desirable structure and controlled magnetic properties based on our studies of the process kinetics. The morphology of binary alloy particles is dependent on their bulk thermodynamics—for immiscible heterogeneous systems sCo–Aud core-shell structures are obtained while miscible systems sFe–Ptd lead to alloy nanoparticles. The annealing effects on FePt nanoparticles show that the coercivity and magnetic anisotropy increase dramatically after annealing at temperatures above 650 °C. Studies of Co–Au core-shell structure show that the core is magnetic, but the Au shell does not significantly affect its magnetic properties. © 2005 American Institute of Physics. fDOI: 10.1063/1.1853991g

Microwave Synthesis of Different Morphologies of Lead Ferrite Nanostructures and Investigation of Magnetic Properties

The lead ferrite (PbFe12O19) nanoparticles were prepared by a simple and short time microwave method. Lead nitrate, iron nitrate nine hydrate, surfactants, and ethylene glycol were used as precursor materials. The effect of surfactants on the morphology and particle size of the magnetic products was investigated. The prepared magnetic products were studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electro...

Synthesis, Characterization and Investigation Magnetic and Photovoltaic properties of FeVO4 Nanoparticles

This research reports a facile ultrasonic approach for the synthesis of iron vanadate (FeVO4) nanoparticles with the aid of ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3) and Fe(NO3)3.9H2O as the starting reagents without adding external surfactant, capping agent or template in an aqueous solution. Furthermore, to examine the solar cell application of as-synthesized iron vanadate (FeVO4) nanoparticles, FTO/TiO...

Synthesis, characterization and investigation of optical and photocatalytic properties of zinc oxide nanoparticles in three different rod, spherical and sheet morphologies

In the present study, zinc oxide nanoparticles in three different forms (spherical, rod and sheet) were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. The obtained products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), filed emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), EDX elemental analysis and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The photocatalytic properties were investigated using congo red (CR) degradation unde...

Synthesis and Characterization of Fe3O4 Magnetic Nanoparticles Coated with Carboxymethyl Chitosan Grafted Sodium Methacrylate

N-sodium acrylate-O-carboxymethyl chitosan [CMCH-g-PAA(Na)] bound Fe3O4 nanoparticles were developed as a novel magnetic nanoparticles with an ionic structure that can be potentially used in many fields. CMCH-g-PAA (Na) was obtained by grafting of sodium polyacrylate on O-carboxymethyl chitosan, which is an amphiphilic polyelectrolyte with the biocompatibility and biodegra...
